EPCs explained without the jargon — and a phone that rings.
Steve assesses homes for energy performance. His enquiries came by word of mouth, and anyone who searched for him found nothing. He needed a site that explained the service in plain terms and made getting in touch easy.
Nobody could find him, and nobody understood the service
EPCs, SAP calculations and retrofit assessments mean nothing to a homeowner who's just been told they need one. Steve was explaining the same thing on every call, and losing the people who never got in touch in the first place.
One page per service, written the way Steve explains it
I sat with him, recorded how he describes each job, and turned that into the copy. Each service gets its own page with what it is, who needs one, what it costs and how long it takes. Every page has a contact button pinned to the bottom on mobile.
Domain, business email and hosting, all on me
The domain is registered in Steve's name, his email moved off a personal address onto the business one, and the site sits on managed hosting with daily backups. He has never logged into anything.
I send people to the site now instead of explaining it twice. And if I need something changed I just get in touch.
